    Question articles with titles

    Dear teachers and connoisseurs,
Please tell me if the article is correct here (it's from an adapted story by Mark Twain):
By a window stood the duke's only child, the Lady Constance.
The Lady Constance has given birth to a child.

    Tnx

I hoped to see more opinions, but alas. On second thoughts I remembered the rule: the article is necessary before foreign titles -the Baron Munchausen.
    Have a nice weekend.
