Please write for me a letter recommending child admission in school.

The letter should be written by an influential officer recommending his friend daughter to be admitted to one good school.

How can anyone who does not know the daughter possibly do that? There is no way to recommend a complete stranger for something, least of all when pretending to be someone else.

Dear Sir, Hello. ("Dear Sir" is OK when you're writing a formal letter to someone who's name you don't know but you do know they're male, but it's unnecessary and much too formal here.)
