    Welcome to the forum.

    Please note my corrections above. We don't start questions with "How to". We don't write letters here for people. Please try to write the letter yourself first and then we will look at your attempt.
    It is slightly strange to ask for a day off in advance due to illness. Usually, being ill is unexpected and we simply telephone the school and say "[Name of child] is ill today so he/she won't be coming in".
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
