    wonder or wondering... ?

    1. What's the difference between:

I'm wondering whether... VS I wonder whether...

    2. Is this sentence correct? : I'm wondering whether someone has taped the show from Donnington Festival which took place a few weeks ago.

    thanks!

    Yes, the sentence is fine.

In this case there's not a whole lot of difference, FM. The simple present could be a bit more formal and the present continuous more casual.

"I was wondering" is used to effect greater politeness, deference
