I understand that British Royalty marry "with" someone while others marry "to". Maybe other Royal Houses are the same.
On another topic even though Shakespeare often said "talk with" in today's British usage people "talk to" whereas Americans "talk with". Similarly in old English including Shakespeare sometimes, the word "gotten" is often used. Today however, in British English "gotten" is rarely if ever used and people often cringe when they hear it; we say simply "got" instead whereas Americans say "gotten". Similarly British people say "SHEDule" whereas Americans say "SKEDule".
Times are changing however, and language and pronunciation is becoming more fluid.
