Examples of prepositions of place and movement

Hi, everyone,

I wrote some examples of the use of prepositions of place and movement that I want to show in class. So, I would like to know if any of you can help me check these example sentences for grammar mistakes, or lack of naturalness, accuracy of clarity.

The sentences are:

- Sebastian's heading towards the court to file a claim against her.

- The helicopter was flying over the skyscrappers.

- If I were you, I would totally run away from there; it's ruining your life.

- I'm gonna put the books onto the shelf; it's the only space left.

- She lives across from my house: We've talked a few times already.

- He's leaning his back against the wall.

Sebastian's heading towards the court to file a claim against her.

It would be more normal to say to the court, unless you mean to emphasise the directionality. I don't think this is a clear example of the sense of directionality.

The helicopter was flying over the skyscrappers.

That's reasonable. Check the spelling of skyscrapers.

If I were you, I would totally run away from there; it's ruining your life.

Okay.

I'm gonna put the books onto the shelf; it's the only space left.

It would be more normal to say on the shelf, but it works as an example. Be prepared to explain the difference between on and onto here. Use going to, not gonna.

She lives across from my house: We've talked a few times already.

Okay.

He's leaning his back against the wall.

We would more naturally say He has his back against the wall or He's leaning against the wall. Either is good as an example of against.
