    Is "smoking crack" an idiom? What does it mean?

    I think it means: "You must have been using some bad quality drugs, so that you can`t think straight anymore!"

    Crack is cocaine in the form of small rocks that are designed to be smoked. It is considered to be more potent and more addictive than powder cocaine.

    The one above and "What have you been smoking?" OR "What are you on?" are often used to suggest that the speaker's comments or statements are so delusional/outrageous/crazy/etc that that person just has to be under the influence of some mind altering drug.
