OK- newcomer is a single word.

I'd say 'I am new here'- there'sno need to make a comparison. I'd write China with a capital, English too. I fail is not a good verb use- do you mean you have failed or will? I hope it's the future because we may well be able to do something about that.

I'm not sure that walking is the best verb- that's not really your purpose on the campus.
