    Use of different verbs

How do I explain to an ESL friend when to use the following correctly:

    say...talk....speak

    hear...listen

    look...watch...see

    Thank you

    Re: Use of different verbs

Hear- tends to be inactive rather than when you're actively using the sense, which would be listening.
Look- we tend to look at static things and watch moving ones.
There are always exceptions. There are some exercises looking at some of these terms here: https://www.usingenglish.com/quizzes/
