    slightly cowardly

    "he is slightly cowardly."
    is there a mistake here? it is written in a book

    I don't think there's a mistake. Cowarddly being an adjective, it's like saying "slightly dangerous".

    Hi Tasdibek,
    There are quite a few adjectives that look like adverbs :
    a friendly attitude
    a miserly man
    a lively performance
    and so on
