Dear Sara,
I hope you are doing well. It has been a long time since we met, I really miss you. In fact, I am writing to you to let you know what's new from my side.
I don't know if you remember my complaints about my post as an English teacher at the primary school, and how it was so exosting and boring working with children ,regardless the long journies that I always made to reach the school with traffic and common means of transport ,anyway I am happy today , because I've applied for a new job in a Translation office, and they recently hired me as a French/English translator .
My work consists on translating some documents, articles, and even small books, I'm satisfied with the salary as well. Now I don't have to spend a lot of time to reach the office because it's not far from my flat.
In addition, my colleagues are very kind and polite, this makes me very comfortable and gives me more confidence.
That is my latest news, how about you dear, how it is going with your studies. please let me know.
Best wishes
I've just noticed that you're calling this a formal letter. What were you asked to write? Were you asked to write a formal letter or an informal one to a friend?
