As ROCKWOOL has no control over insulation .........

    Hello,

As ROCKWOOL has no control over insulation design and workmanship, accessory materials or applications conditions, ROCKWOOL does not warrant the performance or result of any installation containing ROCKWOOL products.

I understand the entire sentence in the following manner.

Because insulation design and workmanship, accessory materials or applications conditions are beyond ROCKWOOL's control, ROCKWOOL does not guarantee the performance or result of any installation containing ROCKWOOL products.

    or

Because ROCKWOOL has no influence over insulation design and workmanship, accessory materials or applications conditions, ROCKWOOL does not warrant the performance or result of any installation containing ROCKWOOL products.

I created this thread just to make sure that my thinking is right.

How can rockwool, an insulation material, have control over design, workmanship or performance? Obviously, it is people - the designers, the installers and the supervisors whose jobs are to exercise control over those things.

You are 100 % right. The full name of the company is ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation.

So, because the company ROCKWOOL (that is people) has no influence over insulation design and workmanship, accessory materials or applications conditions, ROCKWOOL does not warrant the performance or result of any installation containing ROCKWOOL products.

That is not correct. The manufacturer of a material normally offers a warranty to the end-user as an assurance, to cover defects of the material itself but not for faults due to faulty design or substandard workmanship, which are the responsibilties of other parties.

Defects in a material does affect its performance, aside from the factors of design and installation.

It is written in black and white that the company bears no responsibility for who does what to its products, which is why ROCKWOOL does not warrant the performance or result of any installation containing ROCKWOOL products.
