Which verbs can I use here?
Roger lives in a tree house. He's concerned about his safety as he has seen a beaver nibble on the trunk. That's why he has ordered his son to sleep under the tree and ................. the beaver in case he comes back at night.
disperse
shoo
chase
chase away
dislodge
clear out

How would you disperse a single beaver?

He wants his son to shout and make wild gestures at the beaver so that he knows that this particular tree is taboo for him.

Surely you would disembowl the fish, no?

In any case, it wouldn't work very well. Nobody can hang around a tree all day.

Yes I know it's difficult but Roger can guard the tree during daytime and his son does it at night. There's no other possibility because Roger is an animal lover and doesn't want to hurt or even kill the beaver.

Does "shoo away" have the same meaning as "chase away"?

Three things.

1. It's more than enough to say he doesn't want to hurt it.

2. No, but they have the same effect.

(Edited to add (for#2) that they have the same intended effect.)

3. This isn't a serious question, is it?
:-(

No, shoo away would probably mean that he stays roughly near the foot of the tree and uses his voice and arm movements whereas chase away would mean that he actually leaves the tree and follows the beaver out of the immediate area.
