    can you help me answer this question? this question have related about psychology? thanks a lot!

    Which do you think is more appropriate in child rearing, positive reinforcements or negative reinforcements?

    I think positive reinforcement is much more effective; ironically, I usually employ negative reinforcement myself.

    i think it should be judged by different situations, positive enforcement should be used for bringing up good habits, negative one could be used for eliminating bad habits.

    Junior is jumping up and down on the sofa again, even though you've told him several times already not to do that.

    NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT: Junior, stop that right now before I break both of your legs!!

    POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT: You're very talented at jumping, Junior; perhaps we should buy you a trampoline so you can bounce on that instead of the sofa.
