Subject: Lost Camera

Dear Manager,

I’m Alessandra and two months ago I made a reservation at your hotel for me and my husband (Confirmation no. …… ).

We stayed at your hotel from April 30 to May 13. Our room number was 156.

Unfortunately, when I arrived home I found out that my digital camera was missing.

I remember using it during my last day of vacation and I’m sure it was in the hotel room at the time I was preparing the luggage before leaving the hotel. If I’m not wrong, I think I might have seen it on the desk near the window.

The camera’s model is Samsung XP8 and the color is grey. It has some scratches on the front side and a blue stain on the back.

I would be glad if you could check the room no. 156 and let me know if my camera is still there or if someone of your staff has seen it.

Furthermore, I would really appreciate if we could make arrangement to ship the camera back to me here in Italy. If you want I can ask a courier to take care of collection and shipment. Of course, I will pay all the costs.

It’s really important for me to have the camera back not only because all pictures of my vacation in Greece are in it, but especially because it contains some of my wedding photos.

Therefore, I hope you will take prompt care of my request and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Also, I would say "I think I left it on the desk" not "I think I saw it on the desk".

I wrote another essay about a lost bag on the bus. It is similar to the one I had already posted but I'm not sure about some expressions and sentences. I will be glad if you could read this version too.

To the Lost and Found Office

Dear Sir/Madame,

Yesterday morning I was on the 8.30 bus n. 33 from Cairate to Varese. I got on the bus at the stop of Cairate Via Mameli and got off at the stop of Gallarate city center.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take my bag with me and left it on the bus.

I'm sure I had it when I was on board because it fell from my hand while I was paying the ticket. Then, I took a seat in the front row right behind the driver and that is were I probably left it.

The bag is a yellow and blue shopping bag with red flowers on it. It is about 30 cm long and it contains a pink wallet with all my documents and credit cards in it. In the bag there are also a Samsung Galaxy s8 mobile phone, a white agenda and a black case with pens and pencils.

I would be glad if you could contact me and tell me if someone has found the bag and where is it now.

If the bag was returned to the Lost and Found Office, please let me know the opening time of the office and what is needed to be done to have the bag back.

As said, inside the bag there are all my personal belongings so it is really important for me to have it back.
