Does this phrase make sense? Does it sound like good English?

I know there is a colour block sweater, but when I google it I can see those blocks are way bigger than in the sweater I need to describe.

Is it a multi-coloured patchwork sweater?

It is multi-coloured, but there is no patchwork involved although the colour areas look more like patches than blocks.

Can you post a photo of the sweater in question? If we can't see it and you're having trouble describing it, I don't think we're going to be able to come up with the term for it.

It is a multicoloured sweater - four-coloured, to be more precise, but may be three or five. The sweater fabric is divided into different coloured areas. Those areas are like colour blocks, only smaller and less regular in shape - resembling blotches or patches. Is it more clear? You know what a colour block sweater is, don't you?

You know what a colour block sweater is, don't you? I think so, yes!

If there are several colours but no discernible pattern, it would be hard to describe. It's a multicoloured sweater! If you need to describe it in any greater detail, you'll have to use the description you gave us above.

There are different coloured areas spread over the surface in an irregular way. The pattern is random, organic...

That's a tough one. Patchwork definitely doesn't work.

No, it has nothing to do with patchwork. Abstract multicoloured pattern?

A very long time ago my girlfriend made me something similar. As the maker of this one points out, the amount of labour involved is very large. Therefore things like this will always be rare and I think that is why there is no short name for them.

There are machine-made creations of this kind, only less colours but similar patterns. Used to be quite popular once, vintage by now. Didn't they have denomination of some sort?

Abstract multicoloured pattern is pretty good. I can't think of anything shorter than that. And in my opinion, no, there is no established name for them.

It might be just my imagination, but it looks like a pattern inspired by the military 'moro' camo.

No, military camo, perhaps, is just inspired by similar things: abstraction, nature, irregular patterns...
But if the sweater were made in military colours, it would fit the description of camo pattern sweater, yes.

What did the deleted post say?

The deleted post contained one word and had nothing to do with the thread.

The poster probably thought it was since the person went to the trouble of registering a whole new account to post...

What did the deleted post say?

Nothing. That's what "No meaningful content" means.

Suppose, for example, I decided to add a gratuitous expletive to this post. I would have added something, but nothing meaningful.
