I was unbanned yesterday. Can anyone tell me why I got banned half a year ago?

Sometimes I found the answer to the question in my own post and then I didn't want to bother anyone to answer it again. But I could not delete the post started by me. So I erased the contents and used "solved" as the title. Was that the reason that I got banned? But why were all my former posts deleted after I got banned?
