    each of these means different things

    1. It is possible and also very likely that the condition will be fulfilled.

    3. It is impossible that the condition will be fulfilled because it refers to the past. - it was possible, but since it didn't happen at that particular time, it is now impossible

    Just a footnote:

    The second type of conditional can be used in situations which are quite likely: for instance, when giving advice, e.g.

    1. If you turned right, you'd get there much more quickly.
