I can't forgive myself for having been/being so stingy.

    1. I should have given some money to charity, but I have never done that all my life.
    A) I can't forgive myself for having been so stingy.
    B) I can't forgive myself for being so stingy.
A is better than B. A implies there is a duration for me being stingy.

    2. I was so angry with Jane last night that I even said some swear words to her.
    A) I can't forgive myself for having been angry with Jane.
    B) I can't forgive myself for being angry with Jane.
B is better than A. B implies that was just a one-time event, while A could imply that ‘I have been angry with Jane for quite a long time’.

Correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.

You're not wrong, but remember that context is important. Either version can work in such sentences, provided the context is clear.
