It was the only way for me to finally be able to live carefreely.

'It was the only way for me to finally be able to live carefreely.'

    Is 'for me' redundant?

Let's start with your creation of the word "carefreely".

I know it's not an official word, but I decided to use it at my own risk, for poetic reasons. Now can you answer the question?

You can dispense with "for me" if you don't need to make it clear that you're talking about yourself. If you write "It was the only way to finally be able to live a carefree life", we don't know who you're talking about. Note that I have not gone with your (allegedly poetic) new word.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
