The hikers reached the summit and revered the beautiful view.

I found this sentence here and it seemed weird to me. Is 'revere the view' correct? I couldn't find any similar structure anywhere else on google.

We recommend that you try fraze.it to help with how words are used. Simply type the word you're thinking about into the search box and it will give you multiple natural sentences in which it is used.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

I frazed it and there are no 'revere view' structures. So that dictionary was wrong?

It's not a use of 'revere' I consider natural.

Re: The hikers reached the summit and revered the beautiful view.

They might have revered the view before they ever made the climb. In fact, that reverence might have been part of the reason they decided to make the ascent. So I'd go farther than say this use of revere is unnatural. In this case WR is wrong in my opinion.
