    social media sidebar

Is there a way of getting rid of the social media sidebar that has suddenly started appearing on the site pages? I don't do social media and I find it blocks my view and forces me to scroll unnecessarily. I use Firefox to view the site.

    Re: social media sidebar

I googled and found a solution (for Firefox). Install the extension Social Disconnect Plus.

It doesn't work well under Chrome on my Android phone. In particular, it obscures the "OK" button in the window where you add a link. I've discovered I can fix this by changing my phone's orientation from portrait to landscape twice, but that's not a very satisfactory workaround.
