The bride has a health problem, so it's impossible that the wedding should take place

'The bride has a health problem, so it's impossible that the wedding should take place anytime soon.'

'The bride has a health problem, so it's impossible that the wedding will take place anytime soon.'

'The bride has a health problem, so it's impossible for the wedding to take place anytime soon.'

Long and complicated sentence, huh? What is the correct way to word it?

    I would say:

The bride has a health problem, so the wedding has to be postponed indefinitely.

Sentences two and three are okay. Tarheel's is more succinct and thus, in my opinion, better.

I guess you're right! On another note, I wonder how authors who write 400-600 pages per book can do that with succint expression while I can barely write 100...

    How about:

The wedding has to be called off due to the bride having a health problem.

That's good except the wedding is not being called off (canceled). Instead, it's being postponed until the bride's health improves. Then it will be rescheduled.
