Cannot edit my post; previous edit reverted

This is an odd one. I noticed that the word I'd deleted from this post has returned, so I thought I'd edit it again — but there's no "Edit" button.

I can't claim to understand why you couldn't, but I have deleted the second second.

There's a time limit on editing posts. Perhaps you had exceeded the limit when you tried the second time. Admittedly, that doesn't explain why it returned after you deleted it the first time.
