Can I ask relevant questions on the corrections on Editing & Writing Topics?

On Editing & Writing Topics, when an OP has no further questions or requests on their thread, or the discussion there seems to be over, can I ask questions on the corrections by other people on the same thread? Or should I ask the questions on Asking a Teacher?

I've read the rule on Editing & Writing, but I am not clear about this.

    Would anyone please advise?
Please correct my writing if there's any grammatical solecism.

Re: Can I ask relevant questions on the corrections on Editing & Writing Topics?

If you have a query about a comment or correction made in any part of the forum, start a new thread of your own, in Ask A Teacher, quoting the post in question and asking us about it. The Editing and Writing section should be used only to post longer pieces you have written yourself and the responses to those pieces.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

If a question is relevant, ask it in that thread.
