Tom had just moved to his new flat

    Have I made any mistakes?

Tom had just moved to his new flat and was satisfied with its spaciousness and the low rent as he heard from his neighbour that in the same flat someone had committed a murder. Suddenly, his happiness turned into a nightmare. The first night, he couldn't get a wink of sleep.

I believe I should have used "when" instead.

    Use "until" instead.
