    Although Freud and his theories

    Have I made any mistakes?

Although Freud and his theories about subconsciousness had a significant influence on psychology, literature and society in the first decades of the 20th century, his methods and conclusions are mostly rejected nowadays.

subconsciousness is the wrong word. You mean the unconscious.

    Fix the comma splice.

Re: Although Freud and his theories

I should have used "the subconscious" or as you suggested "the unconscious."

Regarding the comma splice, I can't find it. I have an introductory sentence which ends after "century" and then comes a comma and the second sentence. I believed if I used a semicolon or a full stop it would be wrong.

Sorry, Bassim. There isn't a comma splice. I badly misread the sentence. Somehow my mind wasn't seeing the word Although.
