Every spring, the meadow would explode into a riot of wild flowers and butterflies. Groups of small girls dressed in bright colours would come running and laughing. They spread out picking flowers and weaving them into necklaces. The girls wore them proudly around their necks as if they were made of gold.

Every spring (,) the meadow would explode into a riot of wildflowers and butterflies. Groups of small girls dressed in bright colours would come running and laughing. They spread out picking flowers and weaving them into necklaces. The girls wore them proudly around their necks as if they were made of gold.
