Quick question. Is it possible to add that extra syllable when pronouncing (or rather, enunciating) the word "everything"? I think I heard it from a native speaker, but I'm not sure.
The context is (not word for word, but better than nothing): "They are highly ambitious individuals who want to know [high emphasis, raised voice, slower tempo, syllabilizing] e-vE-ry-thing, and they are going to be asking question you're not gonna know how to answer."
The idea here is that the speaker is doing it specially to make things even more emphatic than they already are. He/she is attempting to stress each and every syllable of the word, even adding one where it shouldn't normally be. It's pretty effective, right?
