    THong ≠ TongUE

    Is thong a good example of a word that needs you to use your tongue to pronounce, and a word in which the written e at end changes the pronunciation of its main vowel?

    /tʌŋ/ ≠ /θɔŋ/
    (is my transcription correct?)
