Have I made any mistakes?
Bea hadn't had a real friend since she had left school. As she grew up, she became reserved, seldom went out to enjoy herself, and would usually spend her spare time with books and the TV. All urging by her acquaintances and colleagues to go out and meet people had no effect on her. They believed that Bea must have suffered from depression, but she had reached a phase in her life when people bored her. She was tired of hearing about their plans to get richer, rise higher in their careers, buy more things, and travel to more exclusive tourist destinations. They seemed to have forgotten the meaning of life and tried to find happiness where it didn't exist.
