How can I interpret “dramatic” here? Does it mean the contrast is striking?I am a fleeting visitor on this fragile Earth.

It doesn't mention a contrast, so you can't draw that conclusion. A dramatic composition is one which evokes an emotional response — at least in the person writing the description.
