    is best placed to

    Hi.

    This sentence is from cambridge.org.

The union is the largest in the country and in this regard is best placed to serve its members. (source:regard)

What does "is best placed to" mean?

    Re: is best placed to

"in the best position to" (not a geographical position, more like a metaphorical position).
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: is best placed to

Does the whole sentence mean "Because the union is the largest one, it's most suitable to serve its members?"
