What does it mean to go down the river?

Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as you go down the rivers of Colorado.
Does it mean to go to the center of it?

Re: What does it mean to go down the river?

I take it to mean that you are travelling downstream, as most people do. Travelling upstream is much more difficult.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Re: What does it mean to go down the river?

I'll repeat what I wrote in your last two threads:

If you are learning English without a teacher, I suggest you put that in your Signature Line, as a permanent reminder for us that you are not simply asking for free answers to homework questions.

Please do that before you post again.
When are you going to do that?

This is incorrect. Going down a river, also known as going downriver, means you're going in the direction the water flows. This can be towards any compass point.
