    Extra charge

Waiter: Would you like cream and marshmellos with your coffee?
    A: Are they extra charge?

I wonder if A's question is natural.
To live only for some future goal is shallow. It's the sides of the mountain that sustain life, not the top.

No. Is there a charge? would work.

The word you were looking for is marshmallows.
    I am not a teacher.

Thx. How about "are they free of charge" and "are they included in the cost/price?

    Re: Extra charge

They're OK, but 'Thx' is definitely not OK.

Why not? It's an abbreviation for "Thanks".

It isn't. It's an example of chatspeak, suitable only for use in internet chatrooms.

    Re: Extra charge

Namelessking, cream for your coffee is not usually extra, but marshmallows?

Do people there have marshmallows with their coffee?

It is typical in the UK for people to have marshmallow pieces in hot chocolate, but not coffee.

NamelessKing—is that a Manchester thing? (I doubt it.)

    Re: Extra charge

I like whipped cream as a topping for my cocoa, but marshmallows are good too.

    Re: Extra charge

I got confused. I should have written "chocolate" instead of "coffee".
