    Was your sister here

    Is this dialog natural?

A: Was your sister here this weekend?
B: Nah, She couldn't come. Unfortunately, her train got cancelled and she'd to stay in Leeds. The good news is she'll come for his graduation. I'm really looking forward to that because you'll get to know her.
A: When is his graduation again? November?
B: Nah, it's in December. Gotta wait one and half months, but I can arrange a Skype conversation if you're eager to meet her.
To live only for some future goal is shallow. It's the sides of the mountain that sustain life, not the top.

Can't form a contraction with "she had".

    I would say:

I'm really looking forward to that, because you'll get to meet her.

These days, it's unusual, I agree. However, my father and maternal grandfather regularly use/used it.

I've to go to the dentist tomorrow.
She'd a dog when she was a child.
You've to do your homework immediately.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

OK. I'll meet you half way, i.e. It sounds that way in verbal communication, but I've never seen it in print.

Yankee, I'm wondering why you omitted the subject in the sentence above. Was that a conscious choice?
