    Funny way of describing a very tall person

    Sometimes you need to make fun of the people who are too tall.

    In my language, we have a term that is used to make fun of tall people. For example we want to take a picture and a tall person stands in front. We say something like this:

    Look at that giraffe! He is blocking all of us.

    I know that vertically challenged is a funny and sometimes euphemistic way of referring to someone who is short.

    Is there a funny idiom that can be used to refer to someone tall?

    *lanky does not fit the bill

    I've heard some people ask tall people: "Hey, how's the weather up there?"

    How common is it among natives? What if the person is female? Mommy long legs?
