Hello there.

I'm from Brazil and have been working on my pronunciation in order to sound more natural and to hone my articulation. There are some vowels that are difficult for me to pronounce. I've made up some sentences using words containig these vowels and after memorizing them, I recorded myself. I'd greatly appreciate your feedback regarding my consonants, vowels and intonation. Additionaly I'd like to know if you understood everything I said.

Thank you in advance.

Your pronunciation is generally very good. Listen to the examples of veterinarian here and practice it. You could also use some practice with "literally".

Thanks a lot. What about my pronunciation of cat, caught and cut?

They were all good. You could articulate the final /t/ in "cut" a little more strongly. I think a bit of Portuguese pronunciation is leaking through there -- you'd pronounce a final T quite differently in your language, right?

Thank you for your comment. Yes, actually t has two sounds in Portuguese /tch/ and /t/ depending on the preceeding vowels. But it's pretty similar to English when it's a final t. At least basing on what my ear can hear.
Are there any other flaws in my excerpt that I should polish?

Am I allowed to create more threads with recordings of myself?

Yes, as long as you keep them to a reasonable number.
What would you say it's a reasonable number? I was thinking two or three posts per week.
I'm new here so I don't really know what's the maximum number of threads a member can create.

That would be fine. There isn't a fixed maximum, but you can certainly post more than that.
