    can go on raid

    Source : self practice
Her typical routine is to walk around her apartment complex, and head to a nearby park. In the park, there are many sculptures and Korean traditional pavilions in places/all over. They are the pokestops and pokemon gym in the game. She can get useful tools used in the game, and can go on raid to catch a specially powerful pokemon.

    1. Do you also say "apartment complex" in the US?
2.I don't know how to describe "some raid" to catch a pokemon in the game of Pokemon Go. Would "go on raid" be correct?
This activity seems to be about catching pokemons installed in your mobile app game.

    Re: can go on raid

Which is correct? I think 1 is correct as there are multiple Pokestops but only one Pokemon, which is unique in there.

    1. They are Pokestops and the Pokemon gym in the game.
    2.
They are the Pokestops and the Pokemon gym in the game.

I agree that #1 is the better choice.

Thank a lot! Actually, "they" refers to the underlined in the previous sentence.

In the park, there are many sculptures and Korean traditional pavilions in places/all over. They are Pokestops and the Pokemon gym in the game.

This would be a game-specific term. I've heard "items used in games" many times. I think "items" in Pokemon Go are used to catch Pokemons or to use for various purposes such as protection, moving, etc as in other games. Do you actually use "items" in games a lot?

She can get useful tools used in the game.
=> She can get useful items used in the game.

    Re: can go on raid

Whether you use tool or item depends on what you do with it. We use a tool to perform a task. An item doesn't do anything.
