He has a Chinese accent layered onto what I think is some kind of British accent.

I was looking for a good video of a Cockney accent when I was distracted by this marvellous video of Londoners (Bermondsey) talking in 1972. Enjoy! I'll post a proper Cockney one later.

You can listen and see if you can hear the difference between the man in your original video and these actual Londoners.

I should have added that I heard no trace of a Cockney accent.

You won't find many speakers with more characteristic patter and accents than the people in this film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AEKA9J-l60

There's a nice range of men/women/children, which I think shows how the accent has changed over the last half a century or so. They're all very authentic.

A video with someone like Jason Statham doing some Cockney rhyming slang: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zFJeMqaFn0E

That isn't Jason Statham. It's somebody imitating him. Also, this guy is not a cockney. He's simply doing an impression (not very well) of what he thinks Cockney sounds like.

Also, Jason Statham is not a cockney, anyway. Nowhere near, in fact.

If people want to hear a clear and really authentic model, I'd suggest the actor Alan Ford, who in just about everything I've ever seen him in (perhaps internationally most famously for the Guy Ritchie film Snatch) speaks in his own naturalised cockney. The only reason I'm not posting a clip is that I can't find anything that doesn't include extreme profanities.

He does a fairly good Kray brothers, though.
