use of the present perfect tense

Suppose that we describe a financial situation of a company during the 2nd half of the year 2019.

The financial situation of the company during the 2nd half of the year 2019 has taken a turn for the better. The sentence uses the present perfect tense because the situation is not finished, the financial situation is still improving and is by all means connected to the present. The 1st of December still belongs to the year 2019.

    What is your opinion?

The bolded sentence was made up by me.
