Have I made any mistakes?
Mark had been suffering from leukaemia for a couple of years but seldom talked about his illness to people for fear of embarrassing them. If he mentioned his illness for the first time to someone, his interlocutor would wince and widened his eyes as if Mark were a ghost who had lost his way and returned to the living. Mark then had to explain in detail how his therapy was progressing and how much chance he had to survive.
