Please carry a change of clothes with you while visiting the swimming pool

"Please carry a change of clothes with you while visiting the swimming pool". Does it mean "Carry one pair of clothes with you to change later"?

Amost, but not quite, tufguy. You can't say a pair of clothes. A pair of shoes, socks, pants and so on, yes. But not clothes. Best is a change of clothes but if you don't like that try a spare set of clothes.

Mind you, why would you need a change of clothes? You won't be swimming in your clothes.

Where did you see this unlikely sentence?

It means that, in addition to the clothes you are wearing, you have clothes in your bag that you can also wear. This, to me, seems unnecessary for a visit to the swimming pool, which requires things like a towel.

There are many stange voices on the internet. When I go to the swimming pool, I take a towel and what I wear in the pool- I see no need to take a spare pair of trousers and a t-shirt as I won't need them.
