    deep thinking

    Is the following sentence correct and natural?


    The deep problem is needed a deep thinking to solve it.
    An English learner.

    The problem is difficult to solve.

    "Deep problem" is unnatural.
    "Is needed a.." is wrong. Just say "needs a ..".
    It is understood that a difficult problem requires deep thinking to solve (no "it").

    In fairness to Polyester, let's stay closer to his original sentence. For a start, there's nothing wrong with 'deep thinking'.

    This difficult problem needs some deep thinking to solve it.
