[Grammar] ride/ride on a bus

b. I ride on a bus to school.

Q1: Which one is correct? Any differences?

B.
a. I ride a motorcycle to school.
b. I ride on a motorcycle to school.

Q2: Any differences?

I'm not going to say "I ride on a bus" is wrong, but I've only heard the other one. As for "I ride on a motorcycle" that suggests to me that you're a passenger.

I've only heard the first one in both cases.

In the UK, we don't use "ride a/the bus" at all.

I go to school by bus.
I get the bus to school.
I take the bus to school. (Less common)
