    I read it in famous English novel "Goodbye Mr. Chips" by Hilton.the context is given below.Furthermore,my previous thread was not answered which is also from Goodbye Mr. Chips.

    To introduce a group of slum boys to the serene pleasaunces of better-class youngsters at first seemed a "wanton stirring."

    It would awaken feelings in them that, as they didn't have access to the things the better-class youngsters had, would be in some way an unpleasant arousal.
