    Re: phone us

Good effort, Polyester, but you need to change it a little.

    Hints:
    - You are asking that person to phone you in order for both sides to arrange something.
    - Also, "delivery date" is a noun phrase, so do we need an adverb or an adjective to modify it?

    Try again and post below.

    Re: phone us

Polyester, that is a different sentence!
Let's fix the one you wrote in post #1.

The problems were with "for arranging" and "exactly". You need to change those slightly and your sentence would work. Read my hints above and try again to fix that original sentence.

    Re: phone us

Almost; you certainly got "to arrange" right. Well done.
Now, look at the noun phrase "exact delivery date". Does that refer to a specific date or a general date?

Now, let's look at that sentence. The present simple tense is mainly used for:
    1- Habits or routine actions.
    2- Stating current facts.
3- To talk about (present/future) arrangements.

Therefore, you can see that "try" needs to be in another tense. Can you guess which tense might work in your sentence?
