It is slow to access the forum from China

It's slow to access the forum from the mainland of China. I think it is because the forum adopts the resources from Google, Twitter, and Facebook which are blocked from here. (Please see the attachment.)

Today it takes around 30s-40s for me to open each new webpage here.

Previously sometimes I visited the forum by the aid of VPN which I have paid for, but since a few days ago my VPN cannot work any more, and the Chinese individual VPN provider doesn't respond to me. I speculate maybe he has been in trouble with the relevant government.

I don't ask you to do anything for me about this as it is just slow and I still can access the forum normally. I am worrying that if in the future you kept updating the website with more technologies and resources from Google, Twitter, Facebook, it would be more difficult for users from China to access the forum normally.

Would you please consider this factor when you update or maintain the website?

Hi there - sorry you are having difficulties and thank you for bringing this to our attention. Yes, of course we will consider this moving forward, and see if there are any solutions we might be able to adopt.

Does anyone even use the Twitter/Facebook/Pinterest things? Do you know, Red5?

Can we set up a regional mirror without those bits?

It's not just those bits sadly otherwise it might be an easier problem to solve, it's numerous other things that the site relies on such as usage stats from Google Analytics, anti spam tools like Recaptcha, and much more besides.
