    sensory verbs

    hi
    I would like to know if sensory verbs are followed by the infinitive form.if the answer is yes,could you please tell me when this structure is used?

    They're followed by gerunds (or other nouns):

    I see people smoking./I see smoke.
    I hear people laughing./I hear laughter.
    I smell bacon cooking./I smell bacon.
