I can't eat fish to save my life

    Hello

I have heard the idiom "I can't do something to save my life".

    https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dic...save-your-life

Can it be used like this? :

I hate red meat. I can't eat red meat to save my life.

If not, is there another idiom similar to that which means I really can't eat a certain type of food?

I can't xxx to save my life means that no matter how hard you try, you fail at xxx. This doesn't work for something you just don't like.
    I am not a teacher.

I see. What is an expression which has the meaning that you really hate a certain kind of food?

So, we don't have an idiom similar to "I can't to save my life" about food?

I expect you realise it's an example of hyperbole/exaggeration/overstatement, alpacinoutd, as most people dying of starvation would eat anything to stay alive.

Another example of hyperbole is I'd kill for a bacon sandwich.
